Sexual Health

The division of STD Prevention, at the centers for Disease Control and Prevention, provides national leadership through research, policy development, and support of effective services to prevent STDs (including HIV infection) and their complications such as enhanced HIV transmission, infertility, adverse outcomes of pregnancy, and reproductive tract cancer.

CDC's HIV mission is to prevent HIV infection and reduce the incidence of HIV-related illness and death, in collaboration with community, state, national, and international partners.
