Notice regarding Ineligible Coursework and Financial Aid

As you begin planning your registration for Academic Year 2015-2016, and if you are a student who is approved for financial aid, you need to understand how the TITLE IV Federal Financial Aid ruling will affect you.  

  1. You are not eligible to receive federal Title IV federal financial assistance for credit hours/course work which does not count towards the completion of your degree program requirements.
  2. If the course is not required for degree completion, you cannot include it in your enrollment status and you cannot be awarded Title IV funds to pay for the course.

If unsure about what courses are in your degree program, we recommend you access your program evaluation report (log on the Bergen Portal/Webadvisor) then discuss its content with an academic counselor or advisor prior to registration.
