White House Announces $15 Million Grant for Bergen

PARAMUS, N.J. – Leading a consortium of 12 two-year colleges, more than 20 employers and 10 workforce investment boards, Bergen Community College has received a $15 million job-training grant from the federal government to fund a regional healthcare career pathways system.

Performers Collaborate for “World on a String”

PARAMUS, N.J. – Hosted by TV personality Jim Masters and featuring a global array of stringed instrument artists – including Bergen Community College professors – “World on a String,” an Ars Nova production, will take place in the Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m. The theatre resides at the College’s main campus at 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, N.J.

Jazzy Brubeck Brothers at Bergen Theatre

PARAMUS, N.J. – The 2014-15 Bergen Community College Anna Maria Ciccone Theatre “Curtain Up!” series will continue with the Brubeck Brothers jazz quartet Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place at the College’s main campus, 400 Paramus Road, Paramus, N.J. Tickets are $35 for the general public, $20 for senior citizens and $10 for students.

Art Asks Questions About Humans/Animals

PARAMUS, N.J. – Gallery Bergen’s latest exhibition, “Pets, Beasts & Dinner: Relations Between Human and Animal Creatures,” opened Sept. 16 featuring the painting, sculpture, photography and videography of 14 global artists. The exhibition examines the relationship between humans and animals as friends and food, pets and predators.

Interim County Superintendent Joins College Board

PARAMUS, N.J. – As the current interim executive county superintendent of schools of Bergen and Passaic counties, Robert H. Davis has joined the Bergen Community College Board of Trustees. Davis took the oath office at the governing panel’s Sept. 9 meeting.
