"No project can be successful without those who give their support. There have been so many wonderful people who volunteered their time and talent to make the Carole Gavin Scholarship project a success."
-- Claudia Barrera

First and foremost, Alpha Epsilon Phi would like to thank the individuals who came forward to serve as project coordinators and judges, for without them there would be no initiative. These men and women are the front line insuring a well-balanced and fair competition.

On campus, our thanks goes to Bergen Community College President Dr. Judith K. Winn and Academic Vice President Dr. David Levinson for providing their full endorsement of this national campaign. Also, we would like to recognize Ms. Nancy Haiduck, Public Relations Officer for opening the resources of her department, along with Ms. Sheila Greve for her support and assistance with allocating Web space to host this site. We need also applaud Mr. Jack Dirr from the Educational Broadcast Center and his staff members, Mr. Jim Quimby for editing the "touched by cancer" promotional video and Mr. Howard Dresipan for his assistance with preparing the videotapes.

A special thank you need go to Phi Theta Kappa for allowing us to use the Carole Gavin interview segment within our promotional video. Phi Theta Kappa Associate Director, Mr. Michael Watson, gave his time reviewing the project proposal and making some excellent contributions. International headquarters staff member Ms. Nell Ewing provided many of the great photographs of our team.

Regarding the Carole Gavin "G" pins, we thank Middle States Regional Coordinator Dr. Daniel Houghtaling for his contribution of the pins and our Co-advisor Professor Christine Henkel for donating the ribbon and making all 1,000 pins.

Our sincere appreciation to both our 2001-2002 International Phi Theta Kappa President, Mr. Warren Jackson and our 2002-2003 New Jersey State President, Ms. Sherri Smith for their full faith and endorsement of this project. And of course we need to acknowledge alumna Ms. Maryann DeStefano, Kids-R-Us Fashion Designer Ms. Joan C. Scrivani, and The Vermont Teddy Bear Company's Ms. Mary Sleeper for helping make the Carole bear a reality.

We appreciate all the hard work that went into this Web site, and the hours of technical development contributed by member Mr. Jeffrey Morin. And thank you Professor Robert Saldarini for mentoring, technically advising, and supporting our chapter efforts. We cannot forget Middle States Regional Webmaster, Ms. B.J. Smith for being our sounding board. Of course many thanks to alumna, Ms. Diane Scholl, for serving as our text copy editor.

Finally, a special thank you to Dr. Carole Gavin, for her inspiration and strength, which serves as the very reason for this project's creation.
