Grants Assistant
 
The Grants Assistant will work collaboratively with the Director, Assistant Director and College faculty and staff on grant sponsored project design, development and implementation.  Responsibilities include assisting with the development, preparation and submission of grant proposals and applications, including proofreading, editing, and critical reviewing of grant proposal narratives and budgets for quality, accuracy and consistency;  collecting and maintaining data for funding acquisition and funded project follow-up, support, outcome evaluation and federal, state, institutional and funding agency requirements and regulations; managing and maintaining master calendar and grant information/record keeping system for project development, activity start-up and phase-in, reports, audits and closeouts; collaborating on development, maintenance and upgrade of grant writing workshops, grants newsletter, and grants office web pages; other duties as assigned. 

Required: 
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree a plus); One year experience utilizing analytical, reading, writing and proofing skills; Grant or related writing and editing experience a plus.  Knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices and ability to maintain expenditure control and report financial data required.  Must be detail oriented with excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills; Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously; Strong math and computer skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, database applications (Datatel experience a plus), and internet research required; Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate and work with a diverse population.
