Introduction to Teaching 24 Hour Pre-service Program

A new requirement of the New Jersey Department of Education for anyone applying for a Certificate of Eligibility.

This course will include:

• Overview of the Teaching Profession
• Classroom Management
• Assessment Tools
• Lesson Plans
• Learning Strategies
• Job Search Strategies for Teachers
• Diversity in the Classroom
• Implementation of Technology
• Classroom Observations

This non-credit course of 20 hours of class work and 4 hours of classroom observation costs $200. Upon completion, students receive a certificate from the New Jersey Department of Education, which must be included in their Certificate of Eligibility applications.
