GED Registrants with DisabilitiesBergen Community College (BCC) serves as a test center for the Official GED test. The GED test consists of five separate parts and is administered over three days at the BCC Ciarco Learning Center, 355 Main Street, Hackensack, NJ. Although GED Test preparation is not required to register or sit for the exam, it is strongly recommended that student’s prepare for the test through self-study or a formal course. - Bring a $50 Money Order payable to: Bergen Community College
- For those Re-testing, bring $10 each, per subject in a Money Order payable to: Bergen Community College.
- Bring two valid government-issued identifications:
- (1) a Motor Vehicle Photo ID or a County Photo ID (note: both can be used to fulfill the requirement)
- (2) a United States Passport, a U.S. Military ID or a U.S. Alien Registration Receipt Card. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
- Show proof of birth date (Certificate of Consent to Participate must be obtained and signed by a parent or legal guardian for candidates 16 and 17 years old, prior to registration).
- If you have a disability that could keep you from taking the GED Test, in the way it is normally administered, you may be entitled to receive reasonable testing accommodations depending upon the nature of your disability. Disabilities may include Physical/Chronic Health Disability, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Emotional/Mental Health Disorder or Learning and Other Cognitive Disability.
- Contact the Testing Center and ask for the Request for Testing Accommodations form.
- Complete and submit the Request for Testing Accommodations form along with written documentation to verify disability.
