Teaching Opportunities/Program ProposalsThe Division of Continuing Education, Corporate and Public Sector Training is committed to attracting and retaining a highly qualified workforce to support the College’s mission of providing high quality, relevant and varied educational programs for the intellectual, cultural and personal growth of all members of our community. At this time, proposals for job training programs that offer industry recognized certifications and lead to reemployment are of particular interest. Sustainable & Green Technologies: Qualifications: LEED certified professionals and/or experts in the fields of Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Indoor Air Quality, weatherization, construction, installation of windows and doors, blueprint reading, energy rebates applications, Green Advantage Test Prep., green purchasing, carbon reduction, and solar power installation. All courses are to be delivered with a high level of safety practices, while incorporating customer service and selling skills.These topics are to prepare students for green and sustainable employment. Inclusion/Transition Specialists: Qualifications:Master’s degree in Special Education, Social Work, or related field preferred. Must have experience teaching special learners in transition programs. Job coaches and support professionals encouraged to apply. Project Management: Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, with a successful track record as a Project Manager. An experienced professional who can teach concepts and demonstrate hands on applications . Ability to develop and deliver a practical Certificate Program that gives the students the skills necessary to prepare them for employment. Instructional Design: Qualifications: Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching with a concentration in theory, research, and practice of Instructional Design.Prior college-level teaching experience preferred.
Fundamentals of Teaching: Qualifications: Master’s degree in Education with experience teaching instructional design including Backward Planning and related methodologies, classroom management, use of technology, inclusive education, assessments for children and adult learners in diverse subject areas. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Enrichment Programs for Teens: Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in math, science, literature, computer science, and the arts. Prior experience teaching adolescents and/or adults required. |
