FoodPreneur is a series of workshops tailored to new or early stage entrepreneurs wanting to improve their skills as well as budding entrepreneurs who have a great food idea but are unsure of the next steps. Each module of the series is taught by food business experts who actually market, sell and develop specialty food products. Participants learn experientially through classroom interaction and are provided with tools. resourses and information to learn the food business and develop plans to create sales, manage growth and create or refine a product. Sgudents will explore the process and the attributes and essential personal ingredients needed to be successful. Participants are introduced to a business module template. Yu will learn what the consumer wants, understand the importance of "shelf-life", FDA labeling and more. Students will learn the essentials of sales, marketing and creating effective retail trade presentations and sell sheets. This course will take you through the processs of understanding, building, and managing a specialty foods pipeline. Upon successful completion of this course, studnets will be issued a certificate of completion.
