Jorge Hernandez,Head Coach

Jorge Hernandez is entering his 6th year as the Head Baseball Coach of the Bergen Bulldogs. He is coming off the Bulldog's best season, finishing 4th in the Region 19 Conference with a 10-8 record, 14-12 overall. He and his coaching staff led the Bulldogs to their first home playoff series in over 20 years.

Coach Hernandez brings over 13 years of experience coaching at the collegiate level. He began his coaching career at Ramapo College (1998-2000) where he had also played (1995-96). Hernandez served as an assistant coach at Rutgers-Newark (2001) and John Jay College (2002-05) before landing his first head coaching job at Bergen Community College. He is also the head coach for the North Jersey Eagles in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League.

Beginning his baseball career at Teaneck High School (1990-92), Hernandez was awarded the team's 1992 Most Valuable Player Award and All-NJAC honors during his senior year. He played two years at Ramapo College, where he was awarded the team's 1995 Outstanding Player Award and All-NJAC honors after batting .400 for the season. Hernandez's college career also included a stop at Greensboro College (1993-94) in North Carolina, where he was awarded the 1994 Coach's Award.
