Message from the Director
Welcome from the staff at Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands:
Bergen Community College has a forty plus year history of serving Bergen County’s academic and workforce needs. We have grown from a trailer at the Paramus campus in 1966 to three locations serving close to 18,000 students annually.
In July 2008 Bergen Community College opened its third location here in Lyndhurst in the heart of the Meadowlands. We have grown from 700 course takers in the Fall 2008 to over 4,000 course takers in Spring 2011 semester. Once planned as a training center for the workforce in the Meadowlands, we now serve the workforce and academic needs of the south Bergen region and beyond. Our mission at the Meadowlands is to work in collaboration with the community and businesses to provide educational resources and job training initiatives to help students reap the benefits of the region’s service-sector economy. The College also provides customized training services to support the workforce development needs of businesses. As we continue to develop our site we will remain true to our mission of quality service.
Whether you wish to transfer to a four-year university, desire to upgrade your current job skills or seek immediate employment, the faculty and staff at BCC at the Meadowlands are dedicated to helping you along the pathway to achieve career and personal success.
Again, welcome to Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands.
Best regards,
Dr. Ronald A. Milon Director of the Meadowlands Campus |
