Accommodation ServicesThe law requires colleges and universities to make reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, without compromising academic standards. Reasonable accommodations are determined based on submitted documentation and eligibility criteria of the Office of Specialized Services. Academic accommodations include, but are not limited to: testing accommodations, adaptive technology, sign language interpreters, captionists, note-takers, readers, scribes, use of a computer, use of a calculator and/or individual registration assistance. Academic accommodations provide equal opportunity and accessfor students with disabilities. Accommodations do not lower or change classroom standards or change the essence of the program; and do not include the provision of personal devices.
