Description:
Project Based Learning allows teachers to create tasks whose complexity and openness mimic problems in the real world. Students can see the interdisciplinary nature of these tasks, and see that each task may have more than one solution. Teaching with the project based method enables students to work cooperatively with peers and mentors in a student-centered environment where learners are encouraged to explore various topics of interest. Presenter will demonstrate examples of project based learning and share a planning sheet to initiate PBL projects.

Excel Charting

Description:
Learn how to plot and format data in Excel workbooks in column charts and pie charts. Separate charts or keep them in the worksheets with the data being plotted. Create quick charts with one key, and define which type of chart to create with this method. Breakout pie, scatter, radar, bar, line charts will be briefly covered. 2 1 1/2-hour sessions. Dates: 4/17, 4/24, 2-3:30 p.m. Registers you in both classes. Must take both.
