Information about usingLibrary databases, e-reserves, and other online services off-campus.

BCC Students/Faculty/Staff

Off-Campus access to databases licensed by the Sidney Silverman Library is restricted toBCC faculty and staff and to students currently enrolled in courses which bear institutional and/or degree credits.

When you select a database from thelibrary's list of databases,a dialog box will prompt you to enter your last name (for example: Smith) and your BCC ID# (for example: 1234567).

After entering your last name and BCC ID#, click on SUBMIT. In most cases, this login information will be retained until you exit from your browser. Watch a short video on this process.

Your BCC ID Number

Your Bergen Community College Identification Number (BCC ID#) can be found on the front and back of your Bergen ID card. (Look for the seven digit number above your name on the front of your ID or below the barcode on the back of your ID.) Your BCC ID# is also printed on your registration information, bills, and other college communications. It may also be referred to as your "student number". If you do not have a BCC ID card, please request one at the Public Safety office on the first floor of the Pitkin Education Center.

New Jersey Residents/Public Library Card Holders

Remote access to some library databases is available to all NJ public library card holders. This set of electronic resources covering a wide variety of topics has been assembled at the JerseyClicks website. JerseyClicks is funded by the NJ State Library.
