Learn Skills for the Real World for workshop dates and times
Throughout the Spring and Fall semesters, the career counselors at Bergen Community College offer 1 hour workshops to prepare you for entering the workplace. It does not matter if you are a first semester student, one about to graduate, or an alum, come learn from the counselors and your fellow students in a casual setting. All workshops are held in Room A-123.
Job Fair - Wednesday, October 27th, 2010Each semester, the Career Development Center organizes a Job Fair in the student cafeteria where 40-65 organizations visit the campus to hire students for part-time or full-time work. The Job Fair is free to BCC students and alumni. Dress nicely and bring copies of your resume if you have one.
Resume Writing 101This nuts and bolts power point workshop will teach you how to create an effective marketing tool that sells the skills you have which relate to the job you want. Learn about typical categories and how to make your resume as individual as you are. No resume is required. Real World InterviewingThis workshop is designed to provide an overview of the basic types of interviews, typical questions, and dressing for success. If you have a quick question about your resume or career path, look for the "doctor" in the Student Center or outside the cafeteria as the doctor makes the rounds on campus
