General Educational Development (GED) Test- BCC serves as a test center for the GED test.
- The GED test consists of five parts which are administered over three days, at the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center, 355 Main Street, Room 126, Hackensack, NJ. Tel. (201) 301-9655
- Advanced registration is required by appointment. .
- EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2008, registrants are required to:
- Register in person on specific dates.
- Bring a $50 fee in the form of a Money Order payable toBergen Community College. (Retest - $10 each subject - Money Order payable to: Bergen Community College)
- Provide two valid government issued identifications: (1) a Motor Vehicle Photo ID or a County Phonto ID (note: both can be used to fulfill the requirement), and (2) a United States Passport, a United States Military ID or a U.S. Alien Registration Card. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
- Show proof of birth date (Certificate of Consent to Participate must be obtained and signed by a parent or legal guardian for candidates 16 and 17 years old, prior to registration).
- If you have a disability that could keep you from taking the GED Tests inthe way they are usually given, you might be entitled to receive reasonable testing accommodations depending upon the nature of your disability. Contact the testing center and ask for the Request for Testing Accommodations form. Disabilities may include Physical/Chronic Health Disability, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Emotional/Mental Health Disorder or Learning and Other Cognitive Disability. The application process must include written documentation to verify disabilities.
