Tom Jewell Interim Dean School of Virtual Studies |
| Tom Jewell earned a master�s degree in communication and a J.D. from Brigham Young University in 1982. He previously served as director of forensics (speech and debate) and as a faculty member at the University of New Mexico for 16 years and as an internship director and then assistant dean of the Weekend College at Marymount College for three years. He joined the Bergen Community College faculty in the Communication department at Bergen 10 years ago, before his appointment to interim dean of the School of Virtual Studies. He is an active member of and frequent presenter at the National Communication Association, the Eastern Communication Association and the New Jersey Communication Association. At Bergen, he has served as chair of the General Education Committee, a member of the Faculty Senate, Academic Assessment Fellow, director of the Online Professor Program, and most recently, the co-chair of the Middle States Periodic Review Report Committee. |
