NJCAA National Championships in Spokane,Wa.
Frankie Buenafuente, first-year wrestler from Garfield H.S. (149 lbs) finished third in his weight class, earning NJCAA All-American honors. Krzysztof (Kris) Kucab, also a first-year wrestler from Garfield H.S. (165 lbs.) was defeated in a second round match. First-year head coach and BCC Alumnus Mike Massenzio received the NJCAA Wrestling Man of the Year Award at the tournament. Mike also holds the distinct honor of being the only National Champion in the history of the BCC wrestling program (2004). Congratulations to all on a job well done!
