Switchboard Operator
Hours: 8AM – 4PM, Monday - Friday
 
The Switchboard Operator is responsible for receiving and transmitting telephone calls at the central switchboard of the College and performing related duties as assigned.  Duties include the operation of the telephone switchboard to receive and transfer calls to the proper extension; placing outgoing long distance and international calls; maintaining records and logs as directed; performing clerical duties as assigned; performing any other related tasks as may be assigned.
 
Required:  High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).  Six months of full-time work experience and the ability to work in a high volume call center. Previous switchboard, call center, receptionist or customer service experience preferred.  Must have excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written).  Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills are required.
