The Bergen Community College Child Development Center (CDC) is a state-of-the-art facility located in Ender Hall. The CDC, which opened in 1982, was moved to its current renovated site in September 1997. Licensed by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families. (DCF) We are a part of the Education Department and work jointly with the faculty and staff from the Division of Early Childhood Education; it is a unique laboratory school that provides quality childcare for students, faculty, staff and the community.
The CDC services children aged two and a half to six. It offers three developmentally appropriate classrooms as well as an outdoor learning environment. The CDC teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education. Faculty and teachers also provide educational training for students enrolled in the Early Childhood Program and other College curricula.
