WebCT Orientation
If this is the first time you are using WebCT, the links below present two choices regarding orientation:
Attend an in-person orientation at BCC in the beginning of the semester
Take an online orientation to practice using WebCT if you cannot come to campus
If you can make the scheduled in-person orientation, that would always be preferred. However, if you wish to practice skills in WebCT or cannot make it to campus, the online orientation is a great way to learn how to use WebCT. See the information regarding both opportunities below:

Fall 2010 Orientation Dates
- Tuesday, September 7, 1:30pm-3pm Room C-304
- Tuesday, September 7, 6:30pm-8pm Room C-304
- Saturday Sept 11, 10:30am-12 noon Room C-304
Attending a session will help you become familiar with the online class interface (WebCT). Each session will include:
- Computer browser settings for online course communication from the home computer
- What an online course looks like and how to navigate it
- Bergen Resources
- Tips on being successful in an online class
Sessions are open to all online, web-enhanced, teleweb and partially online (hybrid) course students.
Online Orientation in WebCT
An Online WebCT self-paced resource area is now available for all Bergen students taking online, hybrid or web enhanced courses. This course will help you learn how to use the various WebCT tools and procedures. Each session includes instructions on how to use these tools, practice exercises and quizzes to test your skills.
Follow the instructions listed below to access this course:
- Go to URL http://www.bergen.edu/dlearning
- Click Online course Login
- Click WebCT
- Type in your WebCT ID (same as your WebAdvisorID)
- Type in your WebCT Password
- Click Login
- Choose Resource Area - Getting Started with WebCT from your MyWebCT page list
Follow the instructions and use this resource to learn and practice your skills in using WebCT.
