SRA Grants Web
The Society for Research Administrators is a GREAT place to start, with hot links to a vast array of funding sources and tools.

Grants.gov
Grants.gov is the single access point for over 900 grant programs. The site allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive funding opportunities from the 26 Federal grant-making agencies. 

Nyquist Foundation Federal Funding Report
It is well worth checking the funding opportunities and Resources specifically for Two-Year Colleges.  New issues of this valuable report are posted online on about the 15th each month.

Foundation Directory Online (available to BCC personnel only)
Contact the Grants Office to search this comprehensive directory of more than 70,000 foundation grantmakers and over 200,000 grants, with searchable IRS 990 forms for each as well as links to free web resources. This is another awesome resource for BCC faculty and staff.

Foundation Center (portal)
Provides outstanding: tools, resources, "short course" in grant writing, and links to private foundations. (See also Foundation Directory Online and RFP Bulletin, below)

RFP Bulletin
This Foundation Center service provides brief overviews of current funding opportunities offered by foundations or other grantmaking organizations. Keyword-searchable and organized by category.

Foundations On-Line
Excellent site, sponsored by the Northern California Community Foundation, providing links to most major foundations.

GuideStar
GuideStar, the national database of U.S. charitable organizations, provides data including financials, Form 990 and website on more than 850,000 IRS-recognized nonprofits.

The Chronicle of Philanthropy
Major news source, in print and online, for people involved in the philanthropic enterprise.  Available online at campus library.

The Chronicle of Higher Education
Major source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators.  Available in print and online at campus library.

Federal Grants Wire is a free resource for federal grants, government grants and loans. It currently offers over 1800 federal grants and loans organized by sponsoring agency, applicant type, subject area and a convenient directory if you are unsure which option is for you.

Fast access to population, housing, economic and geographic data on the federal government, states, and communities.

New Jersey: The Official State of New Jersey Website
Fast and easy access to state as well as federal and local government information and services.

The League of Women Voters of New Jersey
Its "Guide to Government" provides contact information for all NJ State & Federal elected officials; NJ Legislative & Congressional district listings; and County & Municipal government information.

Bergen County At A Glance 
County Dept. of Planning & Economic Development provides census information on general demographic characteristics, projections, housing data, income data, economic data, education, commting patterns, etc.

Society of Research Administrators
SRA is dedicated to the education and the professional development of research administrators, as well as the enhancement of public understanding of the importance of research and its administration. 

New Jersey Council of Community Colleges
The state association representing New Jersey's 19 community colleges.

American Association of Community Colleges
The site gives information about current teaching and learning projects as well as other information with
regard to community colleges nationwide.

Community College Research Center (Teachers College, Columbia University)
Carries out and promotes research on major issues affecting the development, growth, and changing roles of community colleges in the United States.

Center for Community College Policy
Based at the Education Commission of the States in Denver, Colorado, the Center has been created to support the creation of public policy that encourages the development of effective and innovative community colleges across the United States.

League for Innovation in the Community College
International consortium committed to improving community colleges through innovation, experimentation, and institutional transformation. 

American Council on Education
This major coordinating body for the nation's higher education institutions seeks to advance the interests and goals of higher and adult education in a changing environment through advocacy, research and program initiatives.

TRAM - Research Funding Opportunities and Administration
Service site designed to meet the needs of researchers and research administrators at institutions of higher education.  Contains organized links to funding agency forms, federal regulations, research funding opportunities, and a listing of University Departmental and Sponsored Research Offices.

American Association for Higher Education
Association involved with civic engagement, faculty development, assessment, and quality. Publishes CHANGE magazine.

National Governors Association Center for Best Practices
Helps governors and their key policy staff develop and implement innovative solutions to governance and policy challenges in their states. Tracks, evaluates, and disseminates information on state innovations and best practices in education, energy and the environment, health, social services, technology, trade, transportation, workforce development, and homeland security.

Association for Career and Technical Education
Largest national education association dedicated to the advancement of education that prepares youth and adults for careers.

Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)
Headquartered in Washington, DC, with a European office in London, CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications, and development.

Center for Occupation Research and Development (CORD)
CORD is a national nonprofit organization providing innovative changes in education to prepare students for greater success in careers and higher education. 

National Tech Prep Network
NTPN is a membership organization for educators and employers involved in the advancement of Tech Prep and related education reform initiatives. 

American Association of University Women
AAUW contributes to a more promising future and provides a powerful voice for women and girls.
