Small Business Development Center

Your Total Business Resource With Measurable Impact

The Bergen Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a non-profit organization that assists small to medium sized businesses (start-ups and established businesses) with succeeding in today's environment.  Bergen SBDC offers one-to-one counseling (at no cost to the client) to business owners seeking information on a variety of topics including how to finance, market and manage their companies.  Clients are assisted in exploring the feasibility of their business ideas, developing and assessing their business plans, making cash flow projections and accurate financial statements, formulating marketing strategies, developing the loan package and finding capital.  Specialty services are also offered to assist businesses with:

* Marketing * Business Planning * Financial/Accounting * International Trade *
* Government Procurement * E-Business Management *

We assist small businesses with the formulation of strategies to meet challenges. provide resources to achieve objectives and act in a mentoring capacity.  We save you time, money and effort in finding the best possible solutions for your business problems.  We also offer no/low cost training seminars that deliver very valuable and poignant information in "quick-time" to the business owner.  Some of the seminars being offered are: legal, accounting and bookkeeping, marketing, financing, management, human resources, etc.

The Bergen SBDC is part of a much larger network of 29 offices in New Jersey with headquarters at Rutgers University and 1000 offices throughout the United States.  Bergen SBDC is part of this national partnership between the state and federal governments, the private sector, college and universities.  The program is designed to provide the highest quality business services to established enterprises and promising new starts, with the objective of increased employment and increased contributions to the state and federal treasuries.
