CE 917-001 FINANCIAL PLANNING FOR TRADITIONAL AND NON-TRADITIONAL PARTNERS (2SESSIONS)  $50.

 

Individuals who build a life together, but who are not married should be especially careful when planning their finances.   Married couples have many protections afforded them by the legal system that are not automatically conferred on unmarried couples.  Planning is critical to the unmarried to protect  their assets as partners.  This course will discuss legal and financial planning techniques used to help unmarried traditional and non-traditional couples achieve their financial and personal goals of protecting assets, minimizing taxes, and making sure one's wishes are carried out at death or during disability.

CE-916 Retirement Planning Today  $45.

Learn how to avoid the ten biggest retirement planning mistakes!  Due to recent tax law changes, an uncertain future for Social Security and the shift toward employee directed retirement plans, the need for sound financial strategies has never been greater.  In this course you will learn how to create a plan to retire early, manage investment ristks, use new tax laws to your advantage, make informed decisions about your company retirement plan and adjust your estate plan to function properly under the new laws.

A family finanical plan is essential for you to achieve financial independence and provide the secruity your family needs.  This program will guide you in creating a comprehensive plan.  The focus will be on 6 elements:  cash flow, retirement, savings, investment, risk, estate and income tax. 

 

CE 865-001 Investment Stategies for Individual Investors  Marc Morrone

This course is designed for individuals who mange their own portfolios or those who need to evaluate their investment performance.  Stock and mutual fund selection , cash flow vs. total return, advantages of exchange trade, Bull and Bear markets and other topics will be discussed.

 

 

CE 888  The Pocket Guide to Homeowner and Rental Insurance          $80

            (6 Sessions)                                                                 

This unique multi-leveled program is designed to inform present and potential home or condominium owners and renters of insurance coverage purchase options. It also investigates determinants that insurers use to set premium costs. In addition, it will define insurance language and riders applied to the policy strategies.  At the conclusion of this program you will be able to make intelligent coverage choices to fit your individual needs as well as know how to employ proper procedures to insure a successful recovery from peril loss.

 

A copy of “The Pocket Guide to Homeowner and Renter Insurance NJ Edition” will be provided. It includes a New Jersey State directory to State agencies as well as other consumer entities that address consumer needs and/ or assist in the resolution of complaints that may occur during the purchase of homeowner coverage or the rebuilding process.

CE 889 Why Rent When You Can Buy?  For The First Time                                   Homebuyer                                                           $50

If you are a first time homebuyer or have ever dreamed about owning your own home, this course is for you. Learn everything you need to know about the process of obtaining a mortgage. Understand the prequalification, pre-approval, approval and the cleared-to-close stages. Other controversial topics include getting a mortgage with no credit, not-so-good credit and with no income and asset verification. There is even a mortgage program with 0% down!

CE 890 How to Sell Your Home                                              $50

Do you want to learn how to sell your home on your own, and avoid paying real estate commissions?  Learn the little or no cost marketing strategies that can save you thousands of dollars.  Topics include: how to set a fair asking price, how to advertise, how to prepare your home for sale, setting appointments and handling phone inquiries, and dealing with visitors.

CE 781 Defensive Driving - Point Reduction Course     $75

Reduce your violation points and/or auto insurance premiums! This state approved 6–hour Points and Insurance Reductions Course will reduce your violation record by 2 points. You will also be eligible for a minimum of 5% off your auto insurance for 3 years (check with your insurance company for details). Course fee includes workbook and certificate. Please bring a pen/pencil to class. An additional $10 data processing fee is collected by the instructor at the first class (Course may only be taken once every 5 years for point removal). All sections will take place off campus at Sears (Merchandise Pick up building) located at the Paramus Park Mall in Paramus, New Jersey.
