If you have a command of the English language, but feel your accent holds you back either in business or social situations, this course is for you. A speech pathologist will help to teach you the correct speech patterns needed to lessen your accent.

Designed for intermediate level students, this course gives an overview of the English language by establishing patterns of speaking, listening, reading and writing. In order to foster language development, grammar and vocabulary are presented and practiced in meaningful contexts. A variety of language learning techniques are used to ensure that everyone learns to communicate effectively in English.

When English is a Second Language

This course concentrates on communicating more effectively in the business environment. You will study grammar, writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary building, and oral presentations. Each class involves practice and prepares students for the fundamentals of letter writing, memo writing, and organized presentations in American English. The goal of this course is to build confidence and gain skills.
