CC 513 Word for Beginners (6 sessions)                   18 hours          $220

This 18-hour course is designed for beginners.  Learn what you need to know about the PC, Windows and Microsoft Word to be able to get up and running with some confidence.  Everyone in the class is a mature adult who wants to learn to use a computer, so everyone is in the same boat. There are no prerequisites. A certificate of completion is awarded at the end of the course.

CC511   Intro to the PC & Windows                       6 hours              $105
This class is for new users of the Personal Computer and is the prerequisite for many Level I classes in this catalog.  Learn about the parts of the computer, how a computer operates, and how to use the mouse and keyboard.  Beginning Windows topics are covered: understanding and manipulating different types of screens, running programs, and beginning to understand files and folders.

CC 524   More About Windows & Folders   ▲           5 hours        $75
This class is designed for two groups of people: new users who have just taken Intro to the PC and Windows, or people who have been using a PC for a while and are still confused about folders.  Create and use folders in Windows, in Microsoft Word and in Microsoft Excel.  Practice finding files, and moving and copying files between different folders.  Learn more Windows topics such as: adding items to the Start menu, creating Shortcut icons on the Desktop, using the Recycle Bin, changing the background of the Desktop screen, and using the Calculator.
Prerequisite: Intro to the PC and Windows or equivalent PC experience.

CC 503       Internet for Beginners              3 hours                                    $75
This introductory course acquaints the beginner with the World Wide Web. Learn how to find a particular web site or search for specific information on the Internet. Other topics include printing web pages, keeping track of favorite web sites, and viewing a history of web sites observed on different days.
Prerequisites:  Proficiency with the mouse, and basic knowledge of the keyboard and Microsoft Windows. Take Intro to the PC and Windows if you do not have the prerequisite experience.

CC 504        Email for Beginners                  3 hours                                    $75
This beginning email course covers sending and receiving email, using attachments, replying to and forwarding messages, and deleting email.  Other topics include setting up filters and groups.
Prerequisites:  Knowledge of basic Internet usage or Internet for Beginners, plus basic mouse and keyboard skills. Take Intro to the PC and Windows Level I if you do not have the prerequisite experience.

Develop proper keyboarding skills, improve accuracy, and speed, and learn basic mouse skills. The course includes instruction in creating a basic business letter and envelope in Word.

CC 483  eBay: Selling Basics                            3 hours                   $80
If you have been buying on eBay, and want to learn how to sell, or simply pick up new tips, this is the right class for you. Topics covered: how to open a seller account, research and create listings, improve your listings with better descriptions and photography, open and use a PayPal account, monitor your listings, and complete transactions.

If you have been selling on eBay, and want to learn how to get the most out of your listings, this is the right class for you. Topics covered: how to start/and or grow an eBay-based business, choose the right listing format, create compelling listings, use eBay listing tools, market your eBay business, benefits of an eBay store, pack and ship inventory, and use online payments from PayPal.

                                                MANAGING YOUR PERSONAL TECHNOLOGY

The Internet and electronics have taken the world by storm. The average person must learn four to five technologies to get through the day. The purpose of this class is to help “non-techies” learn to use personal electronic products effectively. Feel free to bring your electronic device with you to class.

Take control and save time with an easy-to-use accounting program. Create professional invoices, make deposits, write checks, receive payments, enter and pay bills, issue credit memos, reconcile accounts, generate important financial statements and reports. No prior knowledge of accounting is required.

This QuickBooks Level II course builds on the basics learned in QuickBooks Level I. In Level II, you will learn how to set up your inventory, track and pay sales tax, do payroll, track time and mileage, prepare estimates and progress invoicing, and customize forms, letters and templates.

This course is designed for Accountants only.

QuickBooks helps you manage your practice, increase revenues, and better support your clients. Be in a good position to provide your clients with integrated and recurring professional services, such as financial reporting, account analysis, payroll, etc. This hands-on course provides you with the tools you need to use QuickBooks effectively.

This series is designed to give aid, comfort and know-how to the person with a digital camera, basic computer skills, and a desire to take pictures of family, travels and occasions. Bring your own camera if you wish. All classes are hands on.
