Anticipated Adjunct Position Openings

Listed below are anticipated adjunct position openings for Spring 2010. Both day and evening classes are available. Assignments may be at any of our three locations (Paramus, Hackensack and Lyndhurst).
Accounting:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. CPA and college level teaching experience preferred. Day and evening classes at the Paramus location.
American Language Program/ESL:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics. Experience teaching ESL (grammar, reading, writing, speaking/listening) at the college level. Early Morning at the Paramus location only.
American Sign Language:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in ASL, Deaf Studies or related field. Teachers needed for ASL II twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 pm – 5:40 pm in our Lyndhurst location).
Business Administration:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration. Experience teaching business courses at the college level preferred. Day and evening classes at both the Paramus and Lyndhurst locations.
Developmental Math:
Qualifications: Master's degree in Math or Math Education. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Teaching assignment will be at our Lyndhurst location beginning in February.
Economics:
Qualifications: Master's degree in economics or closely related field. Teaching experience preferred. Ability to teach during the day before 6:00 pm necessary. Paramus location.
Electronics Technology:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Classes will be scheduled in the afternoon and evening in our Paramus location.
History:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in History or Political Science in Middle Eastern Studies required to teach History of the Middle East on Thursdays (6:20 pm – 9:05 pm in our Paramus location). Ability to teach Western Civilization and U.S. History a plus.
Hotel/Restaurant/Hospitality:
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related area (Master's degree preferred) to teach one or two Introductory courses (Introduction to Hospitality Managment, Professional Food Preparation Techniques, Garde Manger, Catering and Banquet Management, Hotel Sales and Covention Planning, etc.) Day and/or evening classes in any of our three locations (Paramus, Lyndhurst and/or Hackensack).
Information Technology (IT):
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred) to teach Introduction to Information Technology during the day in our Paramus location. Professional experience in IT required.
Information Technology (Network Security):
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred) to teach network security courses on Friday nights and Saturday mornings in our Paramus location. Professional experience in network security required.
Italian:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Italian or related field and teaching experience. Teachers needed twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:00 pm – 5:45 pm in our Lyndhurst location) and evening classes (Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:10 pm – 8:05 pm in our Paramus location).
Manufacturing Technology:
Qualifications: Related degree in discipline recommended. Prior teaching experience preferred. Instructor needed for training in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) using MasterCAM software, Version X4. The position is anticipated for afternoon and evening classes at our Paramus location.
Mathematics:
Qualifications: Master's degree in Math or equivalent. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Teaching assignment will be at our Lyndhurst location beginning in February.
Philosophy:
Qualifications: Master's degree in Philosophy. Must be able to teach Intro to Philosophy on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:40 pm – 1:30 pm in Paramus.
Sociology/Anthropology:
Qualifications: Master's degree in sociology, anthropology, or social work. Teaching experience preferred. Ability to teach during the day before 6:00 pm necessary. Paramus location.
Speech Communication:
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech Communications or related discipline with at least one year’s teaching experience in the areas of Public Speaking, Interpersonal Skills, or Group Dynamics. Teachers needed for afternoon classes, twice weekly from 3:15 pm – 4:30 pm, as well as possible evening classes in Paramus.
