Master the skills off making your store different, spotting and utilizing trends, developing products, assortments and resources. Understand the elements of visual merchandising and store design. Thinking of opening up a store? Let us teach you the do’s and don’ts to set the stage for a successful operation. You will learn if you are ready for retailing, stating your mission, writing a business plan, financing your business and making presentations. We will cover finding the perfect location, leases and permits, insurance and inspections, as well as personnel, merchandising, financial and operating issues. Learn about store design, layout, signage, and how to market your store on limited budget.

This course will focus on the ABC’s of visual merchandising. Learn how to build eye- catching displays from start to finish. Understand the elements of store design: style color lighting, and fixturing. Identify key areas, add ambiance, and create an overall “look” to keep customers coming back for more.
