Frequent questions :
What are we going to do in the club?
We are going to help and/or educate students/staff/alumni from BCC about how to be healthy. Try to achieve your goals. Either lose weight, gain weight, or eat healthier. Learn what types of exercises fit your needs.
We are going to promote different activities and games to promote fitness and health in school.
Do I need to exercise or be in shape to be part of the club?
No, you dont HAVE to exercise! Maybe you just want to create a change in your nutrition, and we would help you to achieve that.
Who is going to help us?
We are going to have meetings once or twice a month, BUT we will have a site that we can share/change ideas about our goals. You can email any of the executive board (President,vice-president...who are not elected yet) asking any questions. Every topic will be supervised by our advisor Danielle Coppola who is a professor in the Wellness and Exercise deparment.
Who can be part of the club?
ANYBODY! We welcome students, alumni, and staff to join the club. We already have some professors really interested in the matter. We welcome anybody who already belongs to any club, to join us! We also have the support of the director of the Wellness Department Prof. Kathleen Pignatelli.
I already exercise alot and know about fitness, what is my benefit?
We have been discusing about bringing seminars for the students who are in the Exercise Science program or are just interested in the topic. We have some ideas about bringing specialists in Nutrition, Sport Medicine. That can benefit the knowledge and motivation of all of us.
