What is the AIMS program?
AIMS is an academic and personal support program designed for students who will benefit from additional support in reading, writing, critical thinking, and mathematical skills by participating in specially designed learning communities comprised of four courses: Basic Math, English Basic Skills, Speech, and Introduction to College Experience. AIMS exists to help students achieve academic success through the eventual completion of a certificate program or an associate's degree.
What is a learning community?
- Four classes linked around a common theme, often with common readings and activities with additional information housed in WebCT web sites.
- Students and faculty working collaboratively in a friendly supportive atmosphere.
- Faculty planning together and helping you make connections.
- A better way to learn and a place where you are encouraged to reflect on your learning.

Learning Communities 1 and 3
- English Basic Skills: EBS 014/015 (5 non-degree credits)
