I knew Steve from the time we took the bar together in 1962, were neighbors in East Orange and later as young practicing attorneys in Newark. Steve belied all of the negative stereotypes we have of politicians. He invited consensus and agreement with his unmatched sense of humor and he could be relied upon for his sense of fairness and integrity. He was unique and will be remembered with deepest affection.

I don't know Stephen J off hand but, I bet he was a very special person. That really remind of our Pope who passed out couple years ago. He would always be present around us at time

"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." Although I did not know him well, he never missed a chance to encourage me or make me laugh with a story every time we happened to meet. Mr. Moses, you will be greatly missed. To the Moses family: It is my prayer that the love of God envelop you during this difficult time; may He help you heal with each passing day... God bless you.

Mr. Moses was one of those rare individuals who genuinely cared about the less fortunate. Always engaged, he had a wonderful smile and a twinkle in his eye which will be sorely missed.

I knew Stephen before, but I really got to know him when I began my trusteeship at the college some 4 and a half years ago. Everyone has stories about Stephen, about his wit, his knowledge of the law; but more importantly, his passion and compassion for the college and everyone involved with it. To merely say that he was a good man is a severe understatement. Stephen J. Moses was the best, should be emulated by all, and never forgotten by Bergen Community College. We are where we are today because of him.

Well even though that I didn�t get a chance to meet Mr. Moses. I wish I could have met him, I heard a lot of good things about him. My prays are with his family. We will miss him.

The key to Steve's success was his ability to treat everyone with respect. Despite his stature as a "gentle giant", he never spoke down to anyone, even when given clear opportunities. I will miss his guidance, leadership and stories.

Mr. Moses was very supportive when i started working at bergen community College. He was a gentile giant whose friendship and advice will be deeply missed.
