On Call School Nurse

From time to time, Bergen Community College needs the assistance of an On-Call Registered Nurse to cover for vacations and conferences. We are looking to create a pool of candidates who are flexible with their schedules that we can contact when the need arises. The Health Services Office is currently open:

            Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am – 7:30 pm
            Friday, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
            Saturday, 9:00 am – 12:00 noon

The Nurse will provide basic medical care/first aid for emergencies on campus, provide health information and/or health counseling and assist with tracking immunization requirements for students, especially for those enrolled in Nursing and Health Professions. 

Position requires a BSN degree and current NJ RN licensure as well as CPR/AED certification. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be computer literate. Experience working in a school/college health nursing setting, community based healthcare and/or mental health background preferred.
