Honors Program

What is the Honors Program?

The Bergen Community College Honors Program is an academic program for all students meeting ONE of the following criteria:

·         GPA of 3.4 or higher

·         SATs score is 1700 or higher on the new SATs, OR 1100 or higher on the old SATs

·         A professor’s or a counselor’s recommendation

The Honors courses are a good fit for curious and motivated students. Our classes, with an enrollment up to twenty students, provide interdisciplinary approaches to learning, and foster individual initiative. Our courses will challenge you and make you excel at Bergen and beyond.

Students who complete the Honors Program graduate with an Honors degree in their major, receive an Honors Award, and a red and gold cord and tassel.
