Divisional Dean --- Math and Science
Supervises disciplines of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Electronics, Environmental Science, Horticulture, Manufacturing and Technology, Math, and Developmental Math. Recruits, evaluates, and recommends for reappointment full-time faculty and staff; supervises department heads, coordinators and staff; develops and reviews curriculum; develops and manages divisional budgets and scheduling; promotes, supports, and advocates assessment activities, grant development, distance learning, and the use of technology. This position reports to the Academic Vice President.
Qualifications: Master’s degree; minimum five years full-time experience in higher education which must include full-time teaching and administrative responsibilities; demonstrated leadership and communication skills; demonstrated experience and competence in developmental math education; and computer proficiency.
Preferred: Doctorate; experience in a collective bargaining environment; full-time teaching in one of the disciplines listed above.
