Academic Counseling & Transition Services
CCDE offers one on one academic advisement to Deaf & hard of hearing students as requested. The CCDE academic counselor is fluent in American Sign Language and has experience with working with students with all degrees of hearing loss, and is available to help students make decisions regarding their course of study. Counselors are also available to discuss options for those students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university. Students may have access to The Office of Cooperative Education and Career Services in preparation for transition into the work environment.
ACADEMIC COUNSELING
Students may also seek guidance and information from the colleges Academic Advisement Center at their convenience. The Academic Advising Center is a place for students to go with questions regarding their Basic Skills Test results, degree requirements, and College policies and procedures.
PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING
Personal counselors are available as needed for Bergen Community College students. Counselors can help students deal with personal problems, explore educational goals, and acquire the tools necessary for student success.
TRANSITION SERVICES
Students may seek guidance regarding transfer counseling or career counseling through designated offices on campus. All services are made accessible upon student request.
