Creating and Downloading a WebCT Backup
The steps to create a backup and downloading file to your computer are as follows;
- From the Build or Teach tab, click “Manage Course”
- Click “Backup”
- Click “Backup Course”
- If there is an indication that you have reached the quota, Click “Delete Oldest Backup”
- Click “Proceed”
- Click “OK”
- The status will either indicate Completed or In the queue. If “in the queue” is displayed, give it a few minutes for the backup to be completed. Refresh the screen to see when the status has changed.
To download
- Locate the backup
- Click on the action menu and click Save as File
- Ensure that the Tracking Date box is checked.
- Choose “My Files”
- Click “OK”
- Under the Build tab, click “File Manager”
- Click “My Files”
- Locate the backup file.
- Using the action menu, click “Download”
- Click “Save”
- Choose the area where you would like to save the backup file
- Click “Save”
