Administrative Vice President
Timothy J. Dacey was appointed Administrative Vice President of Bergen Community College in February 2007. He is responsible for all the financial operations of the College as well as for all campus facilities. He also oversees the public safety and environmental health and safety areas.
Mr. Dacey has an extensive background in administration having most recently served as the Bergen County Administrator. He has also served as the Deputy Executive Director for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and was the Director of Public Works and Engineering for Woodbridge Township before becoming the Chief of Staff there. He was also a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserve and served on active duty on board the U.S.S. Mars out of Oakland, California for three years.
Mr. Dacey is active on many committees and boards within the state and serves as Councilman for the Borough of Metuchen, Commissioner for the Middlesex County Utilities Authority, and as President of the New Jersey Maritime and Docking Pilot Commission.
Mr. Dacey is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy (B.S.) and the State University of New York – Maritime College (M.S.).
