Summer Program Student Evaluations
Gilliana Canelo
I came here because my family and I have a value towards education. This summer in the EOF Program I took three courses math, reading and writing. The math class that I was apart of was amazing. Professor Davidson showed me that I didn't need a calculator to help me with the basics of math. We were not allowed to use calculators and I developed my skills in adding, subtracting, division and multiplication. It helped me to refresh my memory. Professor. Davidson helped me realize that math is really all logic. In the writing course Prof. Buttacci helped me with my grammar. There were many things I didn't know and he helped me make a huge change. Using my commas was a big issue in my writing, because I didn't know when to use a comma. My reading course also helped me turn my hatred towards reading around. I felt very comfortable in my reading course.

The EOF Program helped me realize the value of my education and that I have to keep on learning. The math course was a great course to enroll in. Math helped me in remembering the supplies or materials I forgot. Before I took the math course I forgot how to multiply and divide. But this course gave me an opportunity to remember the material. Writing was a great opportunity in becoming a great write. Before the EOF program my writing was not that great. Once I enrolled into the writing class my writing became 10 times better. Reading was a really fun class for me. I had a great time learning how to focus in on the story. This program gave me an opportunity to realize not to throw away my education, but to value it.

After completing the EOF Program I think it will help me further my education. I learned things that I had trouble with most of my life. I got a lot out of my writing class. Even though I had trouble with the work Mike told me not to give up. Every time I didn't understand what I was doing he explained it to me and I began to get the concept. I've learned to become a better write and also expand my vocabulary. Reading was my absolute favorite class. I became more interested in reading and writing. Mr. B helped me lose a little bit of my shyness. I participated a lot in his class. Math class was good, the teacher Mr. Davidson is great at teaching math. He made it seem quite easy for me. I was blessed to have the EOF Program make a difference in my life and my learning.

Having an education is not only a right but also a thankful privilege. This program has given me confidence in what to expect during my college career. My favorite subject is english, and I really enjoyed my reading class. I love to read mystery and romance stories. Mr. B made us read a book called "Fight Club" definitely a book I liked. I learned a lot of new things in this program like working hard, having confidence and believing anything is possible. I know I got a lot out of this program and I definitely appreciate it.

This program has really helped me develop my skills in several subjects. The subjects are writing, reading and math. Writing has helped me to have stronger sentence structure. My writing course taught me how to proofread my work and revise it for a better paper. Reading has helped me by showing me how to analyze stories. It has also helped me to look at more than what is written on the paper. Reading is more then actually reading the words its about comprehending what you read. Math has cheeped me to not only solve equations but also figuring out shortcuts to solve them faster In conclusion the program has really educated me and taught me many skills. It also made problem solving easier.
