EOF Support Services
The EOF Program provides several academic support services. Throughout the college years, students will receive academic program planning, and assistance in choosing appropriate courses in both General Education and major areas. Working closely with their EOF counselors students will register for the appropriate courses to help enhance their education. In addition to academic support EOF students are provided with personal , financial, and career counseling.
INDIVIDUAL / GROUP COUNSELING
 
EOF students are assigned to a EOF counselor that will advise them throughout their college career. The support services include career , financial, academic, and personal counseling. Survival Skills Workshop presentations are presented during the year and include such topics as Study Skills, Time Management, Test Taking Strategies. EOF counselors will closely follow students attendance and classroom progress thru the submission of progress reports by their professors. Progress reports are not only used to inform counselors of how a student is doing in their courses, it also helps the counselor assist students with the adjustment to Bergen Community College's academic environment.
TUTORING
The EOF office provides students with private tutors to help with courses in which they may be having difficulty. Students can request a tutor if they are having difficulty in a course, or a tutor may be refereed by an Instructor or Counselor. Tutoring is always available and strongly encouraged. Tutoring is offered in Mathematics, English, Science and English as a Second Language.
