Transferring

Transferring as an international student:

If you plan to transfer to a four year institution, you must first apply to that institution, and get accepted. Once you are accepted, you must make an appointment with an International Student Counselor, bring your acceptance letter, and your SEVIS transfer form from your new school. You must be CERTAIN that this is the new school that you would like to attend, because once BCC transfers your SEVIS immigration information, BCC no longer has any access to your immigration file on SEVIS.
Please note that federal regulations require you to make normal progress while you study in the USA. You should be transferring only to a four year university for a Bachelor's Degree, once you complete your Associate's Degree.
If you have any academic questions about transferring, please visit this page and see a Transfer Counselor in A-118.
