Work Study/ On-Campus Employment

The Cooperative Education and Career Development Center has qualified Work-Study students immediately available to work in your department at no cost to you. Eligible students will work an average of 10-20 hours per week.

There is no cost to your department since work-study salaries are paid through a federal allocation to the College. Departments simply agree to provide suitable employment and supervision and a work schedule that does not conflict with the student’s classes. Additionally, supervisors must agree to monitor hours worked and certify the student’s time sheet every two weeks.

We believe this represents a very good opportunity to initiate a project in your area that may have been set aside and to accomplish it in a very cost efficient manner.

To request one or more students, please contact the Career Center for an On Campus Employment form and return the form to room C-100, fax the form to 201-612-9865 or email the completed form to CED@bergen.edu (please put Work Study Employment in the subject area).  If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Center at 201-447-7171.
