Tomáseen Foley’s A Celtic Christmas
Friday, December 15, 2006 7:30 p.m. in the Ciccone Theatre

Rekindle the flame in the hearth with stories, music, song, and dance from the rich treasury of Ireland’s cultural heritage. Return to the days before television and the telephone, and
spend an evening with Tomáseen Foley for A Celtic Christmas – the show that recreates the joy and innocence of a night before Christmas in a remote Irish farmhouse, where neighbors gathered together to share in laughter, stories, and the joy of music and dance. Long before Riverdance, ordinary Irish men and women kicked up their heels to jigs, reels, and hornpipes while the rafters rang with the music of the fiddle, bodhran, tin whistle, and the mesmerizing uilleann pipes. A Celtic Christmas brings to life just such a night – with some of the most gifted exponents of the Celtic arts performing today, lead by Tomáseen Foley …“Ireland’s own Garrison Keillor.”
