Bergen Community College is a comprehensive, publicly supported two-year college that is fully accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Through its open admissions policy, the college is committed to equal educational opportunities for all. Nearly 15,000 students enroll in over 90 degree and certificate programs through day, evening, and on-line opportunities. An additional 10,000 students are involved in professional development, continuing education, welfare-to-work, English as a Second Language, and personal development programs on the Paramus campus as well as at the College’s Ciarco Learning Center in Hackensack, NJ. Its instructional programs are designed to prepare students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities, or for immediate entry into a career. Noncredit courses are offered for those seeking personal enrichment or improvement of specific skills.  Special populations include Students with Disabilities who comprise approximately 15% of the student body.

Food Service Orders for Campus Meetings

 

  • 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Coffee and muffins or bagels
  • 9:00 a.m. - noon - Beverage only (hot or cold)
  • Noon - 1:30 p.m. - Lite lunch is permissible if necessary and appropriate (in some cases, lunch ticket will be provided instead of catering services)
  • Afternoon meetings: Beverage only (hot or cold)
  • 5:30 p.m. and after - Dinner may be ordered if necessary and appropriate.

Food must be charged to your departmental budget.  If you do not have a public meetings line, you may transfer funds to create one with your Vice President's approval.

The appropriate Vice President's approval is also necessary for the following:
- to increase funding for the public meetings line;
- for any single function totaling more than $500;
- for any exceptions to these standards.



 

Travel to in-state meetings of professional associations, workshops, etc., of a day or less duration, and incurring $100.00 or less in reimbursable expenses, can be authorized by the traveler's immediate supervisor, and must be submitted at least quarterly for reimbursement.  Mileage will be calculated from the College to the destination and back to the College.  Mileage should be calculated from one's home to the destination and back, if shorter than from the College.

Meal Allowance $60 per day (receipts required)
Hotel $150 per day (or at published Conference Rate)
Gratuities (luggage handling, parking, etc.) $10 per trip
Travel to & from public carrier $150 for entire trip (receipts required)
One personal telephone call to home allowed when traveling overnight

3 minutes maximum call

NOTE: Purchasing will make all air travel arrangements at the request of employee
