IDENTIFYING AND EVALUATING JOURNAL SOURCES

Before you can find information, you need to know what different types of information are
available.  In this section, we'll take a quick look at the questions students ask most often,
and provide some examples of different sources of information. 
 
Primary Sources vs. Secondary Sources --  What are primary sources?  What are secondary sources?   How do I find these kinds of sources?

General Interest / Popular Magazines & Newspapers --    What are general interest / popular magazines & newspapers?  What are some examples of general interest magazines? 

Scholarly Journals --    What are scholarly journals?  What does "peer reviewed" mean?  How can I tell if a magazine falls into this category?

Trade Magazines -- What are trade magazines?
