Bergen Community College mandates a standardized placement examination for those wishing to complete an Associate Degree or Certificate Program. It is to be administered to those candidates who have not completed a college level degree. After filling out an application, the candidate is referred to the testing center to schedule Basic Skills Placement Testing.  Students must complete this test before registering for classes.  This examination tests English and Math skills.  A passing grade on this examination or a passing grade in the remedial corresponding courses will render the candidate eligible for application into the Radiation Therapy Technology Program.

The Admissions Committee of the Program will review applications.  The program has a rolling admissions policy and admission decisions are based on academic performance, experience and achievement of the applicant. Completed applications will be evaluated in April, June and August.   Admission into the program is limited.

It is highly recommended that the applicant:

  • Supply three letters of recommendation – preferably from a workplace and/or educational institution source
  • Submit a letter of intent to the program coordinator
  • Schedule an advisement session with the program coordinator
