NJ Business Program InformationEvery college has different requirements for eligibility to their Business programs. If you have not completed these requirements while at BCC, you can usually take the courses after you transfer to the four-year college. The Business Major may have the following concentrations: Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Management Information Systems and International Business. A college may not offer every concentration.
Business Program Entry Requirements:
- FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON UNIVERSITY
A cumulative grade point average of 2.00 is required for eligibility for Business Programs.
- KEAN UNIVERSITY
A cumulative grade point average of 2.3 is required for eligibility for Business Programs. It is recommended that you complete four courses from the following list, with a 2.3 average on these courses: ECO101, ECO201, BUS101, ACC110, ACC210, BUS201.
- MONTCLAIR STATE UNIVERSITY
A cumulative grade point average of 2.75 is required for eligibility for all Business majors, including Management Information Systems. In addition, you must complete these four courses with a 2.75 grade point average in these four courses: WRT101, WRT201, ECO101, MAT223 OR MAT280.
- NEW JERSEY CITY UNIVERSITY
A cumulative grade point average of 2.20 is required for eligibility for the Business Programs. In addition, it is recommended that you complete the following courses: BUS101, ECO101, ECO201, ACC110, ACC210, MAT180.
- RAMAPO COLLEGE
A cumulative grade point average of 2.50 is required. If you have earned more than 45 credits and have not earned this gpa, you will not be eligible for admission to the Business Programs.
- RUTGERS, NEWARK
A cumulative grade point average of 2.50 is required, as well as completion of 56 college credits. You must also complete the following courses to be eligible for admission to the Business Programs: WRT101, WRT201, ECO101, ECO201, MAT150, MAT223, ACC110, ACC210.
- RUTGERS, NEW BRUNSWICK
A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.2 is required, as well as completion of 54 college credits. You must also complete the following courses: ACC110, ECO101, ECO201, MAT280, INF101, INF145. ADMISSION TO RUTGERS NEW BRUNSWICK IS FOR FALL SEMESTER ONLY AND IS COMPETITIVE.
- SETON HALL UNIVERSITY
A cumulative grade point average of 2.80 is required. You must have 24 college credits completed to be eligible for admission to the major.
- WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY
A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 is required.
