Relationships
Your relationship is HEALTHY if you can say "yes" to most of the following:
- My partner is a good listener.
- My partner seems to understand me (even when we disagree).
- My partner understands my opinions and ideas (even when we argue).
- We resolve our differences easily.
- It is easy to talk to my partner.
- We have a good balance (most of the time) between our time together and apart.
- It is easy to make financial decisions.
- It is easy to find things to do. We have fun together.
- Our physical relationship is satisfying and fulfilling.
- We are both equally willing to make adjustments in our relationship.
- We can share our thoughts and beliefs even when we disagree.
- I feel respected, comforted, appreciated!
But, if you agree with any of the following, you might want to re-evaluate your partnership:
- I feel sorry for my partner.
- I feel lonely even when we are together.
- I hate the idea of being alone.
- My partner is emotionally dependent on me.
- I am emotionally dependent on my partner.
- I walk on "egg shells" to keep "the peace".
- I am afraid of my partner’s anger.
