Faculty Web Pages
All Faculty at Bergen Community College are offered the opportunity to secure web server space for information pertaining to their courses. Some faculty strictly use WebCT, but many like to place syllabi and other course related materials on their own web page. Some will want to request web space from us, others may want to just use existing web space that they already have established off campus. Either way, we have established a faculty web page directory so that students can easily find your pages. You will see instructions below on both of these options.
Requesting space (an FTP account) is fairly simple. Click the appropriate link below and fill out the form. Your application will be forwarded to your department head for confirmation. Pending confirmation, it will be sent to CIT and Web Services for activation. You will be emailed with your credentials and instructions for accessing the account.
If you need assistance in how to build webpages, please look at our workshop offerings for using Word and for using FrontPage (if you so desire). If these times are not good for you, email us at cit@bergen.edu and let us know what your needs are. We will connect you with others who can assist you in a one-on-one fashion.
Once your pages are ready to be seen, you should register them in the Bergen Faculty Web Page Directory. You will have the option to register one page, so a home page should be registered. This can be from a Bergen FTP account or from an outside provider. Please note that if you choose to register a page NOT on our website, you will still have to abide by the college's Acceptable Use Policy.
