Email at Bergen Community College
Email is defined as all technologies used to transfer messages, including e-mail, instant messaging and peer to peer file exchange. Email is a tool for business purposes. Users have a responsibility to use this resource in an efficient, effective, ethical and lawful manner. In general, email communications should follow the same standards expected in written business communications and public meetings. Check the web e-mail system status.
Email accounts are provided to all members of the College community whose job responsibilities include regular computer access. If you are an employee and you do not have an email address, you may request one by contacting the Help Desk. You may login to your email account remotely through the web gateway.
Remote Access to BCC Email is made available through BCC's Outlook Web Access Gateway. For more information, visit our faculty and staff email page.
Bergen Community College requires students enrolled in credit courses have a valid email address on file with the college. Students may enter a preferred email address that will be associated with a student file by using WebAdvisor (http://go.bergen.edu ).
Students are encouraged to obtain an email account from any existing email provider. Although Bergen Community College no longer hosts student email accounts, access to web based email providers is available through any internet capable college computer or through the college wireless network. Students are encouraged to evaluate the most current offerings from the many free email providers or their existing Internet Service Provider (ISP).
