General Educational Development (GED) Test

  • BCC serves as a test center for the GED test.
  • The GED test consists of five parts which are administered over three days, at the Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center, 355 Main Street, Room 126, Hackensack, NJ.
  • Advanced registration is required by appointment. .
  • Registrants are required to:
    • Register in person on specific dates.
    • Bring a $25 fee in the form of a Money Order payable to Treasurer-State of NJ. 
    • Provide two valid government issued identifications: (1) a Motor Vehicle Photo ID or a County Phonto ID (note: both can be used to fulfill the requirement), and (2) a United States Passport, a United States Military ID or a U.S. Alien Registration Card. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
    • Show proof of birth date (Certificate of Consent to Participate must be obtained and signed by a parent or legal guardian for candidates 16 and 17 years old, prior to registration).
    • Present all test scores from previous GED tests.
